This is a pretty great explanation of why I use DAZ 3D stuff. What the video doesn’t so much tell you is that once you’ve got a hang of the fundamentals, which are pretty easy to grasp, you can go into all sorts of depth making your own versions of textures, tweak a model’s morphs to create the ideal character you have in mind, fine tune the lighting with all sorts of different types, and even write your own shaders for customised effects on surfaces. I’m learning more every time I make a new picture, but even with just the basics, it’s a brilliant place to start.
